About Me

Sarah Gellner

My storytelling journey started in the basement of my childhood home – spending time with my brother, clutching an iPod Nano, and filming short films with our Webkinz. Those hours spent imagining new plots to act out – mad scientists, spies, vampires, and more – ignited my passion for finding and creating the stories that exist all around us.

At the University of Dayton, I pursued a bachelor’s in communication with a concentration in video production, complete with minors in public relations and music. I dove head-first into the world of scriptwriting, video editing, cinematography, and video production, and music composition, along with learning about journalistic writing, public relations, SEO, and live performance, and more. I brought these tools with me to my extracurricular pursuits – when I wasn’t in the classroom, you could find me producing my own video projects, collaborating with my peers, acting as a technical director at a UD sporting event, studying in the library, writing new scripts, or excitedly discussing the movie I just watched with my friends.

As I stepped into the professional world, I drastically expanded my skillset to include website management, social media management, paid online advertising, event planning, and graphic design. I never thought I’d see a billboard I designed in person, but I was grateful to get that opportunity and much more experience, especially learning how to capture stories and content from a professional, local lens. Whether I’m working on a professional, personal, or freelance project, I am committed to always doing the best I can. I love challenging myself to creative problem solve, especially using the equipment, personnel, and footage I already have, to put together the most compelling outcome possible. I am comfortable stepping up to be a leader, with past experience leading a team of up to 20 of my peers, along with collaborating with a group to create a single vision. I am always looking to learn more, improve my skills, and try new things because I think that these things make my own story richer and more exciting.

I’d love to connect with you! Please send me a message. I am currently on the lookout for my next full time position, so I’d love to know more about any opportunities you have available or what I could for you.
